How You Can Participate

I would like to invite you to be a part of an event that has been consistently referred to as one of Australia’s best conferences and Western Australia’s premier Waste Conference.

Our conference has been running since the 1980s and, in September of this year, world leaders in waste management will gather in Perth to share their learning and experiences about the most topical issues concerning our industry.

When compared to other national conferences of a similar theme, it is fair to say our delegates say we have been consistently ‘raising the bar’ and providing a superior forum for the exchange of ideas and knowledge about waste management and recycling.

This year will be no exception with our 2006 conference themed ‘Crisis? What Crisis? Are we Fiddling while Rome burns?’ We’ve carefully selected this theme to ensure our conference papers address the following:

The critical issues concerning the realistic impacts of our waste generation and consumption patterns.

  • Explore the potential consequences for a society that fails to heed the lessons of history.
  • Exploring the parallels associated with the expansion of an intelligent and well informed society much like that experienced by the Roman Empire.

This year’s highly professional and successful conference will include:

  • Four renowned international keynote speakers.
  • High profile speakers from around Australia.
  • A unique plenary workshop format which will explore future scenarios for waste management issues.
  • Interactive workshops, concurrent papers and panel sessions.
  • Unparalleled networking and business opportunities.
  • Exposure to leading edge technology and information

Presentation topics at our 2006 Conference will centre around the current and pressing issues of:

  • Environmental economics
  • The management of technological solutions
  • Hazardous and problematic waste streams
  • Imminent environmental impacts
  • Policy and legislative direction and implementation
  • Waste consumption/generation.

If you have an interest in the waste management or recycling industry, environmental, economic or other related disciplines, this is a not-to-be-missed event.

To secure your place, we urge to you to register your interest now as this will ensure you receive regular updates in the lead up to the Conference.

If you would like to participate as a speaker, workshop presenter, sponsor, exhibitor or delegate, register your interest via the ‘Expressions of Interest/Submissions’ form enclosed.

Act now, this is your chance to get on board and secure your role in this pivotal 2006 event.
